Adopt a Dog

Adopting a dog from Barking Mad Animal Refuge means giving a deserving animal a second chance at life. Our rescued dogs come from challenging backgrounds, including neglect, abuse, and high-risk environments. We carefully rehabilitate and vet each dog to ensure they are ready for a loving forever home. By adopting, you not only gain a loyal companion but also play a vital role in our mission to rescue more dogs in need.

Make a Donation

Your donation to Barking Mad Animal Refuge directly impacts the lives of the dogs we rescue. As a non-profit organization, we rely solely on the generosity of people like you to fund our efforts. Your contributions help cover essential costs such as veterinary care, food, transportation, and sanctuary maintenance for our special needs and “lifer” dogs. We operate with transparency, ensuring that your donation is used effectively to maximize our impact.

What we do

Our Services

Rescue and Rehabilitation

We rescue dogs from streets, abuse, and shelters. We rehabilitate, vet, and prepare them for adoption, ensuring each dog is ready for a loving home.

Sanctuary for Special Needs Dogs

We provide lifelong sanctuary for terminally ill, senior, blind, deaf, and amputee dogs. These special cases receive compassionate care in a supportive environment.

Adoption Services

We match rehabilitated dogs with caring adopters. Our process ensures each dog is placed in a loving home, contributing to their ongoing recovery and happiness.

Transportation and Relocation

We transport rescued dogs from Texas to Canada every six weeks. This crucial service saves lives by relocating dogs to safer environments for adoption.

What Drives Us

Our Mission

Our mission at Barking Mad Animal Refuge is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in desperate need, offering them a second chance at life. We focus on saving dogs from cruelty, neglect, and euthanasia, providing medical care, rehabilitation, and loving homes. For those who cannot be adopted, we offer lifelong sanctuary, ensuring every dog receives the care and compassion they deserve.
